Al Murray Comedian

Al is one of the most recognisable and successful comics in the UK with his alter-ego, The Pub Landlord. His TV series Compete for the Meat, saw teams battle it out to win the coveted prize of a frozen chicken. His series Al Murray’s Happy Hour has delighted both viewers and critics alike with his no nonsense treatment of his celebrity guests. He is also one of the few stand-up comedians to be asked by ITV to perform two Audience With's.... Al’s sitcom Time Gentlemen Please has become something of a modern day cult classic and his series, Al Murray’s Multiple Personality Disorde) saw him introduce a whole host of new characters and demonstrate his vast comedic range.Al reached a new audience with an impressive performance on Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen as well as a credible Neil Diamond impression on Stars in Their Eyes. He also appears as himself on Mock the Week and QI, and presents historical documentaries on Discovery.

Out of character, Al is the host of 7 Day Sunday a weekly programme for BBC Radio 5, which has just finished its third series. He has also hosted Al Murray's German Adventure an historical series about the art and culture of Germany (without mentioning the War) and kicked off 2012 with Al Murray's New Year Resolutions on BBC Radio 2 as well as appearances on QI, What's So Funny..., That Sunday Night Show, Frank Skinner's Opinionated , Have I Got News For You and The Road To Berlin, a 10 episode documentary series on WWII for Discovery.
