Thomasin Trezise was born in Brighton and studied singing at the Royal College of Music with Margaret Kingsley.
Thomasin made her Glyndebourne Festival Opera debut in 2008, going on as Mrs Herring in Albert Herring and in 2009 appeared in the critically acclaimed new production of Rusalka. Since then she has appeared in numerous roles at Glyndebourne from Britten to Mozart as well as appearing with other opera companies of note including Opera Brava, Ludo Productions, Garden Opera, Glyndebourne Touring Opera, Music Theatre London and English Pocket Opera.
Thomasin’s stage work hasn’t been entirely confined to opera. She has sung in Music Theatre in several productions
Her concert work is extensive and she has appeared at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, at The London Handel Festival at the Royal Festival Hall and with The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment under Simon Rattle. Most recently she performed with the Brighton Chamber Choir and with the Linden Baroque Orchestra.
Recordings include Mary Magdalen in ‘Beloved Son’ by Dave Brubeck for Telarc with Alan Opie, the Dave Brubeck Quartet and The LSO, and soundtracks to The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter films. Thomasin is also a seasoned perfomer at events and sings her operatic cabaret for corporate and private functions both in the UK and abroad.
She has a sparkling personality and magnetic stage prescence and is hugely well received at any kind of event.
