Possibly the very best Tom Jones look and soundalike on the planet? This raunchy show which lasts approximately one hour comes totally self contained with PA and lighting. It includes the early 60's style Tom with a change to the later style during the show.
Public opinion is that John bears an uncanny resemblance to the real Tom Jones in both sound and appearance. In fact John has been genuinely mistaken for the real Tom Jones in many places including railway stations, numerous shops, hospitals and airports! He has also received contracts to appear as a top Tom Jones lookalike for the promotion of products and to mix and mingle at events including many London trade shows.
As for the show, the public are saying that it is indistinguishable from the real thing.
John, has a musical background in "Rhythm & Blues" dating back to the 80's. Having shown his prowess as a guitarist John went on to write and compose his own songs, which he later released on Detonation Records and People Sound.
John was hired by Welsh Television S4C to be Tom Jones' double, for the making of Wedi 7, Celebrating forty years of Tom's first Hit: "It's Not Unusual", John along with Tom's neice Cerys was filmed at the house where Tom was born and the house where Tom grew up.
The documentary then visited the factory where Tom had worked as a boy where John sang " It's Not Unusual". It did not take long before the Radio stations had broadcast reports that Tom Jones had been spotted in Pontypridd, It caused quite a giggle between John and the film crew!!
The programme finally ended at Tom's Pub Live on air where a big screen was set up for the locals who honestly thought that John was the real Tom Jones and Cerys took John's pictures to forward on to her Uncle Tom.
