Craig was born in North Yorkshire, England. He started playing violin and piano at the age of six, following in the footsteps of his mother and grandfather - both professional musicians. From an early age Craig enjoyed performing live music, and he would organise family concerts along with his sister.
Throughout his school years his interest in all types of music continued to develop, and he was performing to wider audiences, both as a soloist, as leader of the Junior Northern Sinfonia Orchestra, and as a chorister in the Northern Cathedral Singers.
On graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, Craig toured the UK extensively as a member of classical violin act DUEL, which was discovered by pop producer Pete Waterman. The album DUEL went to No.1 in the UK classical album chart in February 2004.
In early 2006, Craig embarked on a solo career, performing on both acoustic and electric violin, and applying his outstanding flair and charisma to provide live music programmes for concerts, corporate events and weddings in the UK and abroad.
Craig appeared as a guest artist at the 2007 celebration of the Dubai International Financial Centre with Jose Carreras and the City of London Sinfonia.
In March 2008, Craig featured as Classic FM's Video of the Week performing his new composition 'Amor' for solo violin.
Craig produced his first solo album 'The Romantic Touch' in 2007 and his second album 'The Classical Touch' in 2008.
