Jan ‘The Hat’ Davis (Guitar, piano accordion, vocals)
Exquisite folk, blues and country singer/guitarist with a huge repertoire. Equally adept on piano accordion. Originally from Dundee in Scotland, Jan was a highly respected singer guitarist in Brisbane and spent many years recording and touring with Tony Miles, the legendary Australian songwriter and performer. Since returning to the UK, she has performed right across the UK and now spends a large part of each year in Lanzarote.
Doug Jenner (Fiddle, bouzouki, lagerphone, vocals)
A consummate showman, Doug’s musical career started with bush bands in Australia – Australian Heritage in Wagga and then Shearer’s Dream in Sydney. For three consecutive years he was as judge of the Australian Bush Band championships in Glen Innes, and with John Dengate, Doug wrote and performed a hugely popular presentation on A.B. ‘Banjo’ Paterson and Henry Lawson. He is currently working with Martyn Wyndham-Read on a ‘ Songs of Henry Lawson’ show.
Simon ‘Blue Rinse’ Barnett (Tin whistle, didgeridoo, lagerphone)
Simon is a tin whistle and didgeridoo player par excellence. He is well known and highly regarded on the London folk scene and regularly performs with a range of high profile traditional Irish music bands in the UK. A member of Buckley’s Chance since its inception in 2001, Simon also plays lagerphone as well as teaching and calling a wide range of Aussie bush dances.
Paul ‘The Chancer’ Buckley (Bass)
A highly accomplished guitarist across a wide range of styles, Paul has a vast musical repertoire. Paul has been playing bass with Buckley’s Chance for the past six years. He performs solo as a singer guitarist throughout the UK, and organises a number of popular musical events in the Midlands.
